The Weizmann Institute of Science is a public research university in Rehovot, Israel.
And it’s annual Kupcinet-Getz International Science School accepts each summer a select number of outstanding undergraduate students to participate in research projects in mathematics, physics, chemistry and life sciences. It is an enrichment program designated for overseas undergraduate students from all over the world, who are majoring in the Sciences, to experience science first hand by becoming part of a research group at the Weizmann Institute. Each student is associated to a laboratory or a theoretical research project under the supervision of an experienced scientist; the students become, for a short time, full-fledged members of the scientific team.
Who can apply:
Location: Weizmann Institute of Science, Israel
Duration: June 27, 2016 – August 21, 2016 (8 weeks)
Financials: Foreign students receive a stipend of NIS 500 per week (up to NIS 4,000 in total). And airfare or any other travel costs are NOT covered by the program. Participants are responsible for their own travel arrangements.
You will be provided with 8-week free accommodation in the student accommodation of the neighboring Faculty of Agriculture of the Hebrew University. But interns are responsible for their own meals.

- Applicants must be students enrolled in undergraduate science degree programs (in Physics; Chemistry; Life Sciences; Mathematics; or Computer Science).
- You need to give an evidence of a serious interest in scientific research (previous experience is an advantage but not a requirement).
- You should have a grade point average 3.6/4.0 or equivalent in the grades associated with your major subject.
