STUDY ABROAD SCHOLARSHIP FOR COLLEGE STUDENTS
The World Affairs Forum, based in Stamford Connecticut, has established a scholarship program for deserving university students to encourage study abroad for those interested in pursuing an international career.
The Norman Woodberry Scholarship will award up to $5000 to a college or university student based upon the following selection criteria:
§ Resident of or studying in Fairfield County, CT or Westchester County, NY
§ Attending a four-year university or college
§ Funds to be used for study abroad (e.g. semester or longer) at an accredited academic institution
§ Demonstrated financial need as determined by the Scholarship
Committee
Committee
§ High achiever (top 25% of class and/or minimum B average)
§ Contributor to school and community life
§ Minimum 2 recommendations (2 professors or 1 professor/1 academic advisor)
§ Commitment by the scholarship recipient to provide the World Affairs Forum with an end-of-program report and to speak before a World Affairs Forum audience on a minimum of one occasion following completion of the program.
§ Applicants must be available for a personal interview. Applications will be reviewed by the Scholarship Committee and finalists will be invited for an interview.
